CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is a manual therapeutic approach that focuses on adjustment
of the spine and other joints, in order to influence the nervous and immune system of our body with the aim of relieving pain and improving
the health and well-being of patients.

CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is a clinical science that deals with removing not only the symptom and pain, but also the disharmonies that cause it.

These disharmonies are known as vertebral subluxations. A subluxation is a joint block in the spinal column which, through a complex physiological mechanism, affects the nervous system, inducing reduced functionality which then becomes a symptom or pain.

The Chiropractor, by correcting these disharmonies, allows the nervous system to work better, thus reducing the patient's symptoms.

THE VERTEBRAL SUBLUXATION

The central concept of chiropractic practice is known as vertebral subluxation or joint dysfunction. A subluxation is a pain that occurs in the skeletal joints and, through complex anatomical, physiological and neurological relationships, affects the nervous system inducing reduced function, disability or disease.
Typically, the clinical evidence of a subluxation includes one or more of the following: pain and weakness; asymmetry of posture, movement or alignment; various abnormalities in the movement, or in the tone, consistency and / or temperature variations of the soft tissues. A Doctor of Chiropractic can identify subluxations through specific procedures including physical examination, specific chiropractic assessments, or non-invasive targeted tests.

CHIROPRATIC ADJUSTMENT

The distinctive element of Chiropractic is the corrective adjustment of the subluxations.
By manually correcting the vertebrae to improve physiological relationships, Chiropractors relieve interference in the nervous system and reduce the resulting symptoms, improving joint mobility and patient well-being.
A chiropractic adjustment requires great palpation skills and adequately acquired manual skills following a long and rigorous training so that a precise and delicate maneuver can be performed in order to effectively reach the set objectives in complete safety.

BECOMING A CHIROPRACTOR

TRAINING/UNIVERSITY

A degree in Chiropractic consists of a full-time university course of 5 years for a total of more than 4200 hours in subjects such as: Diagnostics, Neurology, Anatomy, Physiology, Chiropractic Philosophy and Science, Chiropractic Techniques, Communication and others.

Attendance is compulsory and in the training course there is a clinical practice at colleges and universities accredited according to international standards on the training of the profession.

Some subjects are therefore in line with medical training, but there is a significant teaching load related to manual practice as chiropractic does not use drugs and does not resort to surgery.

Our chiropractors, Dr. Battaglini and Dr. Bidgood-Lund, both have a university degree from one of the few European and world universities offering a Masters in Chiropractic.

BENEFITS OF TREATMENT

CHIROPRACTIC IMPROVES PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL AND MENTAL WELLBEING.

By promoting self-healing and balance within the body, regular chiropractic adjustments, in parallel with a healthy lifestyle, improve our physical, emotional and mental well-being. In fact, we often find that our patients develop a greater awareness of their body and the surrounding environment through regular adjustments. This leads them actively to try to improve their health by reducing physical, chemical and emotional stress.

CHIROPRACTIC ENSURES THAT THE NERVOUS SYSTEM WORKS TO IT'S FULL POTENTIAL

Our nervous system controls our body. If it is blocked, not working properly or struggling to communicate with other key systems then it all manifests itself in symptoms - which can range from poor sleep to back pain. Our nervous system controls every single cell in our body, so interference from this system has a negative effect on our health and performance. Chiropractic treats the cause, not the symptom, and improves our body function thereby reducing pain.

CHIROPRACTIC HELPS YOU MOVE BETTER

Chiropractic is often used solely as a treatment for back problems, but this is far from the truth. Chiropractic is based on the idea that by maintaining proper alignment of the spine, and thus by clearing and maintaining the communication pathways to and from the central nervous system, the body's ability to heal itself improves. This means that we can move better, easier and in a more natural way.

CHIROPRACTIC IMPROVES YOUR POSTURE

In addition to improving body movement, chiropractic also helps improve posture. The posture moderates and controls every physiological function from breathing to the normal production of hormones. Incorrect posture can compromise digestion, breathing and also has psychological aspects. The fitter and healthiest people have a correct posture that follows them.

CHIROPRACTIC REDUCES PAIN

By treating the root cause and optimizing bodily functions, chiropractic can bring exceptional pain relief. It helps to release physical tension in the muscles and emotional tension in the head. By doing this, the body works better and feels less pain.

CHIROPRACTIC IMPROVES YOUR SLEEP

Spinal problems or other functioning problems of our body can compromise the quality of our sleep. Rest, recovery and a good night's sleep are essential to staying healthy. Chiropractic, along with other factors, can improve the quality of your sleep.

CHIROPRACTIC GIVES YOU MORE ENERGY

By moving better, having a functioning nervous system, sleeping better and having less pain, our patients result in much more energy. Having high energy levels is an essential factor in feeling good and having self-esteem. Active and energetic people usually feel better, are stronger and much more confident in themselves.
